The liquid portion of blood called plasma is 90% water. The fluid properties of water enable blood to flow through your body. Water has a unique property that makes it essensial to life. Withought salt, our nerves and muscles won’t function properly. Vitamins and minerals are found in the foods we eat. They help your body function properly and grow. For example, vitamin D which is found in milk helps your bones grow and become stronger, vitamin A is found in carrots to help improve your eyesight, Vitamin C in oranges helps heal wounds, and vitamin B is found in green leafy plants which produce energy and protein. Potassium maintains normal nerve and muscle activity, especially of the heart, and pressure within cells. It also helps in the metabolism of carbohydrates and protein. Sulfur supports healthy connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments and etc. Sulfur is present in all cells.
